Journeyman Movers operates a same-day door to door removals service on the Sunshine Coast, Hinterland and all areas between Bundaberg, Toowoomba and Byron Bay.
We also provide interstate house moves to NSW, the ACT and Victoria and all regional areas throughout Queensland.

We provide a local Sunshine Coast delivery service and can offer a fixed price, or an hourly rate, starting from as little as $99 per hour.
At Journeyman Movers, all of our hourly rates are GST inclusive. We also provide Goods in Transit Insurance and Public Liability Insurance free of charge, for your peace of mind.
Our varying hourly rates only apply for local Sunshine Coast moves. For greater distances, an additional $10 p/h is applied for each 100 km of distance travelled. For example a job that would normally be charged at $132 p/h on the Sunshine Coast, would increase to $143 p/h ($130 plus GST) for moving to the Brisbane region. This rate increase is not a fuel charge, because it doesn’t apply to our hourly rates of $165 p/h and above.
For local deliveries on the Sunshine Coast, our hourly rates start from as low as $99 per hour, for one man and a truck.
For larger house moves, we offer an additional man for $55 per hour.
It is estimated that for every hour of your move, an extra man will save you 20 minutes per hour.
So, for example a 10 hour move charged at $165 per hour for two men and a truck, could be completed in 6.6 hours with three men. This would mean an overall saving for you of over $130!

OurCharges
We do charge full travel, from and to our depot in Palmwoods, on the Sunshine Coast.
This travel charge covers fuel, wages and transit time. We always strive to offer the most affordable prices to our customers and may negotiate or waive some of the travel charge.
On occasion, we may send two trucks instead of one for logistical purposes, but the cubic capacity will always match or exceed the previously agreed requirements to complete your move. For Saturdays please add $20 per hour on top of our standard hourly rates. And for Sundays and Public Holidays, add $30 per hour to our standard hourly rates.
Charges for tollways and parking meters may also apply. We may also charge a heavy lifting fee for pianos, pool tables etc. subject to prior agreement. We do not charge minimum hours, or round up the time in 15 or 30 minute increments. We only charge for the hours and minutes that we do.

I was recommended Journeyman Movers, a local sunshine coast family run business via a social media post. Quotes from other removalists were beyond our affordability so I contacted Jason, the owner. Jason came to our home to assess what we needed relocated along with an estimate of the size truck required and an hourly rate which was within our budget and considerably less than other companies were asking.
We booked the date some months ahead, and the booking was confirmed a week prior.
Jason and his son did an amazing effort- arrived on time, had the van packed and on the road for the long drive within the space of an hour. It wasn't an easy offload either - a steep street with limited parking access along with having to carry the entire load down an entrance with numerous stairs. They both worked tirelessly on a very warm day and were back on the road for the return trip within a very reasonable time. Our items were handled with care in spite of the days challenges.
Jason messaged me once they were back at the base. The total cost was honest and very reasonable. We highly recommend Jason and his son Mason. Mason did an awesome job! Thank you both so very much !
